Executive Veterinary Programâ„¢
Swine Health Management
The inaugural Executive Veterinary Program was offered on the subject of Swine Health Management, as have four of the subsequent programs.
Each year the swine industry faces new challenges. In some cases, these challenges will reshape the industry in ways that cannot be predicted. The same is true for the expanding role of the swine veterinarian.
An EVP in Swine Health Management covers the essential aspects of swine production medicine, as well as enhances the management and problem-solving skills of veterinarians working in the ever-changing swine industry.
Program Goals
- To provide a beneficial and highly motivating educational experience for veterinarians with an interest in improving their effectiveness to the swine industry;
- To serve as a network that enhances the sharing of ideas among swine veterinarians and that promotes dialogue on issues critical to the changing swine industry;
- To raise the qualifications and abilities of practicing veterinarians to provide a higher level of service to the swine industry; and
- To stimulate interest in current and developing career opportunities.
